After this one and half days enjoyable workshop, my conclusion is as follows:
First, this workshop is not only to learn how to make sourdough bread, but also for Founder Mr. Beng to share his marketing strategy and thoughts on how to run a contemporary bakery business nowadays.
Secondly, upon completion of this workshop, after practicing several times, I am able to make my own sourdough bread independently with following the theory and the technique learned from the workshop.
Thirdly, if you are interesting in opening a bakery shop or just simply want to learn the method of making sourdough bread, this workshop is absolutely the right choice for you.
No scam. No disappointment. Just highly recommended.
Beng’s approach to sourdough making is very practical and not overly complicated. Most importantly, he explains what to look out for when making sourdough in our Malaysian climate (hot and humid). Very informative and enjoyable class.
Had a very good informative session and great experience as a baker to bake sourdough bread in their actual oven!

I have taken a couple of weeks to reflect on the workshop and have since tried making sourdough loaves for the first time solo, quite successfully! As quite a visual learner the course was very valuable. I appreciated seeing the starter, smelling what a healthy one was like, preparing the ingredients and making the dough from start to finish. Then the actual baking! Hearing the theory behind it and then being able to troubleshoot myself feels the right way to start on a sourdough journey and I felt Beng was knowledgeable and was happy to answer all of our questions. The workshop was a little on the pricey side (luckily it was for my Birthday!) but I feel it was worth it and may have set me up for sourdough for life ☺️ Doing the workshop with a little group of other women was nice and overall I really enjoyed the experience.
